Job Description
Position Summary:
The Client Service Specialist (CSS) position is a resource for Lead Advisors and clients of Emerald Financial Group in handling, researching and communicating inquiries regarding their customer accounts and insurance needs and supports the daily operations of the practice, including, but not limited to: answering phones, meeting/greeting clients, utilizing Thrivent computer systems and programs in support of client relations, supporting insurance related tasks, and other administrative tasks as assigned by Emerald Financial Group.

- Bonus based on performance, at discretion of the Lead Advisor.
Responsibilities:
- A client service position that supports and reports to the Lead Advisor
- Interfaces with the broker-dealer or custodian to open new accounts, update account information, prepare necessary forms and perform routine tasks such as updating mailing or other instructions
- An experienced CSS is often asked to train another CSS or assistants
- Specific client service responsibilities may include:
- Attending client meetings and taking extensive notes
- Prepare documentation for client meetings and execute necessary client communications post meeting
- Answering general inquiries from clients (license may be required for some)
- Researching products, product pricing and contacting carriers for information
- Showing clients how to access their accounts and read statements
- Entering and maintaining client information into various systems
- Filling out necessary forms for opening or maintaining accounts
- Maintain information in the CRM system
- Set up and retrieve reports in various systems
- Assist in generating performance reports
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Advisor
Position Qualifications:
- Securities registration optional
- Life, Health and Annuities registration required or obtained within 120 days of hire
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with clients
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work
- Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
- Expert knowledge of Office Applications
As part of Emerald Financial Group recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the process. Fingerprints will be required as part of FINRA registration process for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records.
