Our technologists are involved in work that includes cloud native development, digital architecture and integration, automation, cloud data platforms, artificial intelligence, and machine learning as well as maximizing platforms such as Salesforce, AWS and Microsoft.Under general direction, manages and controls the processing of programs and peripheral equipment on distributed computer systems to ensure the highest levels of service and system availability are attained. This Production Control Analyst is expected to have server and certificate installation experience. Establishes production runs, ensuring that appropriate job control language, run documentation and data files are available. Assists in job set-up. Performs problem identification escalation and resolution. Communicates status of operations to allow for immediate response to service disruptions. Develop and maintain the batch environments on Thrivent's computing platforms. Install applications/project management requests by altering what was created in the test environments to execute in the production environment. Establish and enforce batch processing policies and procedures for use of computer resources and security. Provide consultation analysis, enforcement of quality assurance standards and overall expertise in the production environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Uses Automated scheduling tools such as Zeke and Zena
- Endeavor for code movement
- Mobius for output management
- Troubleshoot business-critical applications
- Understand and apply standard operating procedures to meet the business needs and requirements
- Maintains appropriate time to resolution for tickets
- Log or record support tickets with appropriate priority
- Install computer peripherals for users
- Improve customer service, value, and satisfaction
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Train new hires on systems and applications
- Develop strong partnerships with other groups within Thrivent to aid in getting to root cause and resolution.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of new processes or modifications to existing processes, policies, and standards.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to others with less experience.
Required Job Qualifications :
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, business, mathematics or related field
- An understanding of scheduling tools and basic computer hardware and software
- Minimum 1 years of experience in a Production Control Analyst role
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Data Center Ops Associate experience: 1-5 years
