Position summary:
Corey Cox is seeking an experienced marketing coordinator to be part of the team. This fast-paced position requires exceptional interpersonal, organizational and networking skills and will evolve over time. Key responsibilities will include building and fostering relationships within the community, generating new client leads, and serving as the first point of contact for Afton Union Financial Group office. Other responsibilities include assisting with marketing strategies and event planning, social media coordination, and additional administrative tasks as assigned. He is looking for a driven individual who wants to be part of achieving goals and growing in the business. The Marketing Coordinator reports to and is employed by Corey Cox. Medical benefits are not provided through Thrivent Financial. A stipend for health care premiums can be negotiated. A SIMPLE IRA plan with employer match is available 6 months after hire. Compensation for this role is between $55,000 - $65,000 annually dependent upon experience and training.

Job Description

Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Manage Corey Cox practice and client facing social media websites
  • Networking and lead generator; plans/coordinates member/client events and workshops, including set-up
  • Meeting and networking with local religious organizations
  • Coordinates overall marketing strategy for member/client events and workshops including Social Media coordination
  • Greets clients/first point of contact when members/clients arrive to events, workshops
  • Supports event coordination and RSVP management
  • Support event follow-up with members/clients
  • Update the contact management system with client/member contact and preference information
  • Assist in the preparation and follow up for the client/member meetings
  • Touch base with approved Action Team applicants; Promote and attend Action Teams
  • Assist in Client Relationship Management
  • Assist in supporting the team with other daily functions on an add needed or back up basis
  • Participates in the business planning process

Position Qualifications

• 2 years of previous marketing/event planning experience required
• Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data-base Salesforce) and/or the ability to quickly learn
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
• Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
• Basic understanding of our products, services, and Thrivent Financial

As part of the hiring process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the hiring/contracting process.
