Our technologists are involved in work that includes cloud native development, digital architecture and integration, automation, cloud data platforms, artificial intelligence, and machine learning as well as maximizing platforms such as Salesforce, AWS and Microsoft.This Principal Architect will have the opportunity to work on our Integration Team. This is a challenging opportunity not only work on technology that acts as the glue between systems but also will require someone that can easily build and establish relationships with other architects and bring them along the integration journey. You will be tasks with thinking strategically on what the environment will look like 2-3 years in the future and determine what the team will need now to help set them up for the future. This Architect will act as an evangelist for the integration team and help others understand and gain alignment on integration patterns, architect principals and why the architecture is important. You will have the opportunity to work in open-source technology and help move our engineering culture towards the newest frameworks, tools and technologies to help reduce conative load from the engineers while also helping them move faster.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to lead large scale business and technology initiatives across the enterprise/company. Drive solutions that fully meet our architecture standards. Help define new standards when we encounter gaps with current standards.
- Define and create technology strategy documents and contribute to the bank’s technology roadmap development.
- Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures and culture) and financial impact of the EA.
- Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business.
- Lead the creation of governing principles to guide the EA strategy and solution decisions for the enterprise.
- Research, evaluate and recommend technologies that support current or future company strategies.
- Analyze industry, technology, and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise.
- Drive cross-product, cross-functional architecture efforts to deliver technology initiatives that meet our enterprise architecture standards.
- Identify business requirements that affect the enterprise architecture and provide solutions that integrate into the overall architectural vision and strategy.
- Work closely with subject matter expert and technology discipline leaders to continually enhance reference architecture, technology standards, policy and governance.
- Maintain an organization-wide view on current and future business and application architecture in support of goals and objectives.
- Define and execute the company’s enterprise architecture values and standards for acquiring or developing systems, equipment, or software within the company.
- Provide expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns and IT practices.
- Coach / mentor other team members as appropriate
- Recruits, develops, and sustains a high-performing team while promoting a culture of shared accountability, operational excellence, and partnership across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
- 15+ years progressively responsible positions in Information Technology or related fields
- 10+ years of related experience, including:
- Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex solutions.
- Experience leading efforts to create technology solutions and architectures impacting critical functional areas of the business.
- Experience in Integration architecture, and defining integration patterns.
- Ability to present and communicate complex business and technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical stakeholder groups.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems while confronted with ambiguity.
- Demonstrated technology skills across multiple technology domains (application, security, infrastructure, information, integration).
- Strong consultative skills at a cross-functional level.
- Strong understanding of software, hardware, architecture frameworks, and corporate technology and trends (e.g., API and cloud architectures).
