Description
Candidates entering the Team-Sponsored Launch program will work closely with an experienced financial advisor or team—receiving mentorship, coaching, access to training and support. By the end of the program, the goal is to be proficient in the following areas that can help you build your business:
•Solicit and sell appropriate products, complete applications, write recommendations, service existing clients and contracts, etc.
•Learn and understand the resources of the entire operation of the sponsoring team or practice.
•Participate in joint business opportunities (including joint fieldwork) with the sponsoring pratice to build expertise and observe best practices within the industry.
•Meet with clients and prospective clients to build a book of business and foster lasting relationships.
•Introduce products, services and strategies to help clients gain financial clarity, enabling lives full of meaning and gratitude.
•Understand and, if desired, build into your business common advice tools and platforms, like Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, etc.
Team-Sponsored Launch
Financial advisor
•Use practice-sponsored workshops and events to attract new clients and provide financial education to the local community.
•Understand the value of a purpose-based advice approach that can be applied throughout the advisory process.
−Develop effective client communication skills and use them to listen attentively, ask exploratory questions and tell relatable stories.
•Gain a foundation of Thrivent’s proprietary and nonproprietary products and solutions.
−Leverage additional support resources to expand your business (e.g., Sales Desk, Advanced Desk, Advice
tools, Virtual Advice Team).
•Understand product-neutral strategies that help clients and prospective clients gain financial clarity, enabling them to live meaningful, generous lives and achieve their goals.
•Understand the technical processing and execution of
all product lines:
−Insurance.
−Managed accounts.
−Brokerage products.
−Fee-based financial planning.
•Research products, product pricing and contact carriers for information; analyze asset allocation and generate rebalancing trades.
•Implement planning, analysis and investment strategies to execute financial plans on behalf of the client.
•Identify natural and target markets, develop prospecting and networking skills, and develop proficiency in asking for referrals.
•Strengthen existing client relationships by adding more assets under management and identifying additional service opportunities.
As a Thrivent financial advisor, you’ll:
- Provide one-on-one financial guidance and connect clients to Thrivent products, services and unique membership benefits.
- Build genuine, long-term relationships based on shared values and goals.
- Complete a comprehensive training program with up to 16 weeks of paid training and have ongoing support and career development resources.
- Obtain state insurance licenses (life, health & variable contracts) and Series 7 and 66; Series 7, 65 and 63; or Series 6 and 63 registrations.
- Have the flexibility to control your schedule, allowing for work-life balance.

Requirements
•Attainment of FINRA SIE.
•State LHA Licenses.
•Series 7 and 66 (or 7, 63 and 65).
•Satisfactory background check, fingerprinting and securities registration and/or insurance licensing verification, if applicable.
