Job Summary

Thrivent Asset Management seeks a Senior Content Strategist for its division-specific marketing team. This role is the highest level of individual contributor and has primary responsibility for content representing Thrivent’s asset management products, investment perspective and approach, and thought leadership and insight on markets and the economy. You will lead content strategy, development, and execution as well as oversee external agency efforts. The Senior Content Strategist brings expertise as a financial or investing writer and editor and works closely with investment professionals and leaders in developing content. You will shape content management processes for integrated content marketing efforts and to ensure optimizations and measurable outcomes meet business objectives.

What you get to do:

  • Serve as the primary editor of articles and other content forms published on the websites and for other content pieces used in marketing efforts.
  • Guide content strategy for integrated marketing and digital programs and uses expertise/experience to contribute to larger marketing initiatives and projects. Includes leading cross- sub-teams and work streams and providing work direction.
  • Develop content and align resources for content development using best practices and data-driven / SEO /KPI measurement and insights for continuous improvement. Enhance content management systems and processes.
  • Works with research and analytics teams to leverage data and analysis in determining opportunities to enhance content, considering advisor/consumer behaviors and engagement results.
  • Bring forward competitive insights, trends, POVs and strategies to improve content marketing effectiveness for client (B2B and retail) acquisition and retention.
  • Guide and coach team on execution of the content portion of marketing plans and digital strategies.
  • Manage vendor partnerships / projects related to content from creative direction through review and implementation.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to collaborate and influence across the organization.
  • Translate strategic vision to drive flawless tactical execution; provides coaching to help grow organizational content marketing acumen.
  • Content under purview of the role may include but is not limited to market commentary, collateral, presentations, webinars, social media, infographics, white papers, podcasts, and video.

What we want from you:

  • College degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, business, or related field; masters preferred but not required.
  • 7+ years of content marketing experience.
  • 1 plus years’ experience in asset management or investing industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset.
  • Demonstrated project management and collaboration skills.
  • SEO or web writing skills (preferred).

Additional Information:

  • This position is eligible for relocation.  
  • This position requires you to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN a minimum of two days a week.
