Description
The Advanced Joint Field Work Program Consultant is responsible for managing the advanced joint field work program which matches experienced advisors with each other to deliver advice to our clients and drive revenue growth across the organization. The position will be responsible for building relationships with experienced advisors across Thrivent to identify joint field work opportunities and find ways to help support advisors with opportunities to partner and drive total sales.This can be a remote position within the US.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement advanced joint field work processes and programs designed to deliver advice, grow teams, drive productivity and total sales.
- Develop strong partnerships with the Revenue Growth Directors, Market Directors, MVPs, GVPs, and experienced FAs to identify JFW opportunities
- Facilitate partnerships across the organization between experienced FAs and strategically coordinating with the local Market Directors, MVPs and GVPs
- Partner with the Revenue Growth Directors, GVPs, MVPs and local Market Directors to create JFW programs by TAG
- Collaborate with key partners such as Revenue and Practice Productivity, Teaming, Succession, Wholesaling, Advisor and Capacity Growth COEs, Marketing, Membership and Field leadership in providing thought leadership and organization/execution skills to steer JFW outcomes across the distribution network.
- Build and maintain a national database and “clearinghouse” for those Advisors attracted to coaching others or looking to develop skills as a colleague to a coach.

- Build business cases for Joint Fieldwork with an individual advisor or a group of advisors
- Manage the strategic and tactical JFW implementation by aligning and executing within Thrivent’s distribution initiatives and the Growth Playbook
- Leverage regional and national workshops and Plan to Thrive speaker events to drive JFW. Work with local TAG and Engagement leaders to implement JFW relationships to serve clients better with post-event appointments
- Work closely with the Revenue and Practice Productivity COE to coordinate efforts, gain intelligence on potential JFW coaches and colleagues through practice growth and business planning efforts and consulting. Show up as one team.
- Partner with teaming and succession to foster connections and engagement to aid in growing teams and ensuring continuity and succession planning across Thrivent
- Collaborate across the organization and offer/seek counsel as needed on business decisions to ensure tactical and strategic alignment.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by empathetic listening and driving toward problem resolution.
- Use data and metrics to track results and make adjustments accordingly as needed.
- Create an inclusive and collaborative culture with key partners in Corporate and the Field
- Manage meeting agendas, hold partners accountable

- This position will collaborate across Corporate and Distribution with a wide variety of partners including but not limited to: Succession, Teaming, Practice and Revenue Growth, Field Leadership, Advice and Wholesaling COEs, Marketing, Operations, Membership, Communications and others to proactively align key productivity tactics and strategies with Distribution priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- College degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5 years working in the financial services field.
- Experience directly supporting experienced advisor practices required.
- Strong relationship-building and facilitation skills. A strong candidate for this position will have an advisor-centric orientation and be able to build a business case for Joint Fieldwork with an individual advisor or a group of advisors
- Ability to thrive in a matrix management organization
- Proven strategic management and problem analysis skills: demonstrable critical thinking skills
- Strong project management skills–ability to manage multiple and moderately complex projects that drive positive outcomes
- Ability to understand diverse audiences and influence without direct authority, “empathy for customer” skills paramount.
- Strong written/verbal skills, particularly with digital presentation materials and communicating with Corporate and Field audiences. Compelling presentation skills that lead to engaged audiences required.
- Demonstrated aptitude for innovation and dealing with ambiguity.
- Experience leading peers and customer through changing environments and priorities.
- Experience leading, facilitating, and/or presenting at large group trainings, workshops or events.
- Effective communication/interpersonal skills with emphasis on customer service, conflict management, and teamwork.
- Demonstrated expertise in several of the following functional areas: financial acumen, communications / stakeholder management, market research, technical skills, and process design
Preferred:
- Preferred Experience with financial advice and planning, practice management, insurance and investment solutions highly desired.
