We are a rapidly growing practice whose members feel more like family than co-workers. While Thrivent’s home office provides the requisite resources to be successful in this industry, we encourage individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and who are comfortable in a small team environment to apply. Our paraplanner role offers a career path for someone who wants to eventually move into an advisor role within our practice. This paraplanner role not only helps support the advisors but also provides the benefit of learning and developing the skills necessary to be successful as an advisor and not have to worry about making sales and working on commission.

Responsibilities

  • Sit in client meetings with the lead and service advisors.
  • Gather, enter, and maintain client information in our various systems.
  • Assist with client onboarding.
  • Assist with client scheduling.
  • Take the lead on research and answer routine client questions and service requests.
  • Prepare and update financial plans and presentation material for client meetings.
  • Finalize, submit, and track all client account and application paperwork.
  • Maintain information in CRM (Salesforce) system.
  • Fill out necessary forms for opening and maintaining accounts
  • Handle request for transfers of funds in and out of accounts
  • Identify and offer recommendations on how to optimize workflows.
  • Engage in teamwork and teambuilding workshops throughout the year.
  • Knowledge of Thrivent products, resources, and technology
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead and Service Advisors

Qualifications

  • Securities (7/66) and life and health licenses preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • World class follow through.
  • World class listener and effective communicator
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Loves to delight customers.
  • Willingness to learn new things and take on new tasks.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferred.
  • Technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information.
  • Staying up to date on financial events, concepts, and policies (RMD Rules, Tax policies, estate planning rules, various retirement account rules

Compensation

  • Salary range $50k to $75k based on licensing and experience.
  • Benefits package includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, paid time off plus paid holidays.

As part of the sponsoring financial advisor recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the process. Fingerprints will be required as part of FINRA registration process for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records.
