This positions primary responsibility is to manage, with supervision, a portion of the business deposit portfolio. In addition to managing existing relationships, this position will be responsible for assisting with the serving and sales of Treasury Management products and services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare preliminary presentations for ACH, remote deposit capture, cash management and other depository specific products and services. Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents to assess risk factors and degrees of risk.
  • Assist with the ongoing review of depository and secondary credit relationships including loan memorandums, annual reviews, remote deposit capture and ACH origination.
  • Evaluate potential and existing members for ACH, remote deposit capture, cash management and other depository specific products and services. Make initial recommendations to lenders on appropriate cash management solutions.
  • Accountable for completing tasks such as handling return items, overdrafts, researching member account requests, account maintenance and debit card processing.
  • Work with other Treasury Management colleagues to set up and maintain products and services for members such as business online banking, remote deposit, and other depository products and services.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other departments to research cash management activities and identify areas for improvement or resolution.
  • Partner with Deposit Operations in the development, enhancement and implementation of products and services.
  • Effectively educate members on the features, benefits and value propositions of Treasury Management products and solutions.
  • Evaluate member data and prepare recommendations for mutually beneficial products and services.
  • Maintain and expand existing member relationships, through proper set-up and evaluation of overall depository relationship. Take responsibility/ownership for achieving production goals.
  • Assist with the monitoring of ACH and remote deposit capture accounts for compliance and proper usage.
  • Refer business to other business lines and to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.


Required Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years banking experience with a minimum of 2 years of business depository experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and/or additional training in business deposits.
  • Strong knowledge of Treasury Management products and services including but not limited to: ACH, remote deposit capture, cash management and other depository specific products and services.
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of the Credit Unions Treasury Management policies and procedures.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently.

  • Knowledge of credit union industry and ability to present a professional and dynamic image.
  • Able to produce results with minimal direct supervision and demonstrate experience at fostering a partnering, cooperative, decision making environment.
  • Strong member service orientation that produces maximum value for the member and the Credit Union. Respond professionally and accurately to member service inquiries and concerns. Follows up with members in a timely manner.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $50,272.00 - $68,015.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
