Job Summary
The Senior Investment Operations Analyst performs ‘middle office’ functions (trade and corporate action processing, collateral management, cash reporting and forecasting, multi-managed fund transaction support, class action claims, derivatives support, securities lending support, etc.) that support the Investment process for Thrivent.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Trade Support: Affirmations, Cash Reporting, Failed Trade Research.
- Holdings Support: Reconciliations, Derivatives Collateral, Corporate Actions.
- Coordinates Multi Managed product trading process with internal and external portfolio managers.
- Reporting: Positions and Exposures.
- Investment Strategy Support: Product Changes, Strategy Changes.
- Creates and Develops new business process.
- Implements regulatory changes impacting investment functions.
- Develops and maintains relationships with many outside partners: brokers, custodians and key vendors.
- Trains new staff.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline or equivalent training and experience required.
- Minimum 5 years experience with institutional investment operations required.
- CFA, CPA or master's degree preferred.
Other Critical Factors
- Experience working under tight time frames with competing demands.
- Independent judgments used to problem solve and resolve issues.
- Desire to learn and understand investment business and processes.
- Experience with software used to assemble, evaluate, interpret and analyze financial data.
Additional Information
- This position requires you to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN a minimum of two days a week.
