Requiring a dual minded approach, this position requires creativity and technical expertise. This position exists to serve all of Thrivent as a consulting and collaboration resource on assigned events to provide a flawless virtual or onsite experience for attendees through seamless website builds, attendee registration management and the development of mobile apps. Through consultation with event planners and event sponsors, this role manages the entire event registration lifecycle for events in Cvent. Superior oral and written communication skills are critical to success.This role aggressively drives project management deadlines to ensure that all necessary attendee information is gathered in a timely and accurate manner, which facilitates mitigation of financial risk including contractual obligations (guarantees, attrition, hosted events, etc.) and tax errors on behalf of attendees and Thrivent.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a consultative technical expert to event planners and sponsors to develop websites in Cvent that support multiple attendee types/registration paths using knowledge of web design best practices. Manage quality assurance of all conference module elements. Develop plans and execute to test/validate all paths, pages, etc.
- Demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, problem solve, improvise, and function as part of a team that often must perform under pressure.
- Demonstrate project management and organizational skills to successfully manage technical requirements of assigned events and meetings. Apply expertise to evaluate the event technology and website design from the end-user’s perspective to ensure a clear and easy-to-use experience.
- Manage and execute event communications. Create crisp web content with clear instructions and compelling calls to action that align to Thrivent’s style guide and brand voice.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to planner, attendee, sponsor questions in a timely manner. Manage attendee changes in Cvent as requested, working onsite at event to support attendees and event planner(s) as necessary.
- Create and schedule detailed reporting (ad-hoc, custom reports), providing recommendations for effective representation of relevant data and analytics. Support administration of Cvent by managing user access, troubleshooting user questions, completing process workflow improvements (MRF) and notification modifications and documenting work instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
- College degree required in Communications, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related fields
- Creation of meetings and events using Cvent or similar platform
- Up to 10% travel for onsite support
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience in website development preferred
- Industry certifications (MPI Event Data Analysis Certificate, Virtual Event and Meeting Management Certificate) preferred
- Cvent certification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
