This position is responsible for promoting and supporting Thrivent’s Membership products, and will partner with distribution, integrated planning, and creative teams to establish compelling content and experiences that resonate with and excite clients across different markets and channels. Working closely with other Product Marketing team members, the Product Marketing Specialist will support efforts that increase product usage and engagement. This role will have an emphasis on growing utilization of member benefits and membership engagement

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support development of target segments, personas, journey maps, product messaging and positioning to influence across the organization and deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Provide specific product line topic subject matter expertise to key constituents and stakeholders.
  • Execute research and analysis on existing market and competitors to maintain strength and competitive positioning.
  • Support initiatives that drive membership growth and engagement and works with other Product Marketing team members to prioritize and align work.
  • Collaborate with Field-facing colleagues to design, train on, and execute program promotional materials. Serve as translator of complex products and features to distribution team.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to collaborate and contribute to the development of member offers that attract target segments, drive membership growth and increase member loyalty. Partner with Integrated Planning and other Product Marketing team members to execute successful campaigns.
  • Develop assets and collateral to support products and experiences and can expertly and clearly create project briefs to share with internal creative team and Integrated Planning.

This role will regularly interact with numerous internal and external partners including individual contributors within Thrivent, field organization, and managers and /or Directors within Thrivent. This role needs strong relationship-building skills in connecting product marketing and sales strategies to distribution facing audiences, communications and other marketing areas of company.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:  

 Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, especially in marketing, communications or business: liberal arts education focused on critical thinking also a plus (will consider commensurate working background under certain circumstances).
  • This position requires a minimum of a college degree plus 3 years of experience or a graduate business degree plus 1 year of experience in sales, marketing, product, program development or communications.
  • Experience in communicating complex product solutions to and through distribution systems to the end client.
  • Applicants must demonstrate capabilities in the following areas: strong written and oral communication, experience and desire to work with distribution teams to achieve sales driven goals.
  • Ability to balance and address multiple projects at one time.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $77,655.00 - $105,061.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
