The Executive Assistant – Advisor Group will provide senior level administrative support to the Group Vice President within the Advisor Group as well as related support for the Advisor Group as a whole. Responsibilities include handling communications, maintaining schedules and calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing presentation materials, travel, and providing other project support.

This position requires alignment with Pacific Time Zone business hours to ensure effective partnership across the West Coast. Additionally, the role includes anticipated travel of approximately 10–15% within the region.

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Organizes and coordinates schedules by arranging appointments, maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings, travel, conferences and presentations.

  •  Respond to calls and information requests and compose correspondence (often of a confidential nature). 

  • Ensure leader can focus on their key jobs to be done by thinking and acting proactively; relieve leaders of routine administrative details and utilizing systems to help leader prioritize their time. 

  • Prepare meeting agendas and updates, maintain meeting notes, and monitor follow-up items. 

  • Prepare presentation materials and spreadsheets to produce high quality reports and presentations. 

  • Establish, maintain, and lead best-in-class office management processes while facilitating a productive and efficient work environment; respond to needs of the Advisor Group related to the physical location. 

  • Manage logistics for local meetings, including AV/technical, location, catering, RSVP management, etc. 

  • Serve as point of contact for GVP, fielding questions from and collaborating with front line leaders, enterprise leaders, and partners in the Centers of Excellence. 

  • Supports other various projects, programs, and processing functions as needed. 

Required Job Qualifications 

  • Required education level, experience, licensing/registration and/or credentials 

  • 5+ years of administrative experience preferred 

  • College or two-year degree from business or vocational school preferred 

  • Demonstrated project management skills - success in managing, prioritizing, and organizing multiple projects at one time 

  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to quickly learn other software (Salesforce, etc)  

  • Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills 

  • Proven ability to think proactively to anticipate needs and prepare accordingly  

  • Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of work 

  • Proven ability to maintain the highest ethical, confidential, and professional standards at all times 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • Demonstrated sound decision-making skills 

  • Excellent business acumen skills, detailed knowledge of organization and variety of business areas

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $27.86 - $37.69 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
