The Finance Path Starts Here

Your journey begins with a rotational experience across three core areas of finance: financial planning & analysis (FP&A), controller, and strategic performance analytics.

You’ll gain exposure to the financial disciplines that help guide Thrivent’s business strategy, measure organizational performance, and ensure strong financial stewardship. Through meaningful, hands-on work that reflects the services and expertise of each rotation area, you’ll build a well-rounded understanding of how finance drives decision-making across the enterprise.

Along the way, you’ll develop strong financial expertise, sharpen your business acumen, and expand your professional network by collaborating with leaders and colleagues across the organization.

Summer Internship Experience

Our finance internship is a paid, 12-week long immersive program that gives you the experience, insights, and projects needed to successfully transition into a full-time role. From a dedicated 1:1 mentor that’s coaching and invested in your growth, to the thriving intern community that’s providing weekly social and networking events, our goal is your success.

Your development continues with the support from our entire finance team. Whether that means engaging directly with senior leadership to understand how decisions are made or meeting with a peer about career development, your long-term success at Thrivent is front and center.

Rotational Program

Successfully completing your internship sets you up for the opportunity to be selected for a full-time role in our structured rotational program. This program focuses on you gaining experience in the primary areas of finance at Thrivent. It gives you the experience to understand the big picture and learn what parts you like (and don't).
